Week 03-04

Advanced Information Modelling: Parametric Structural Families

With the basic fundamentals out of the way, it's time to master complex engineering components with parametric properties required for advanced engineering in BIM.

Week 04-05

Advanced Information Modelling: Precast, Rebar and Material Take-off

It's time to take your BIM modelling skills to another level with detailed understanding of precast and rebar modelling, followed by quantity extraction and sharing.

Week 05-06

Information Management: Annotations, Detailing and Schedules

Manage and collaborate on your project's 2D documents with Bluebeam Revu and studio, utilizing features such as scaling, hyperlinking, slip sheeting, and overlays, to effectively manage and distribute project documents.

Week 08-10

Introduction to Civil 3D: BIM for Infrastructure

Learn to create workflows for civil project using the tool that enables you to build for large scale projects like roads, dams, tunnels, etc.

Week 10-11

Prefabrication Modelling: Tekla

Learn how to utilize Tekla Structures for efficient and accurate modeling of steel structures, including complex geometries and connections. Create detailed and accurate drawings and reports for fabrication, assembly, and construction.

Analytical Modelling: STAAD.Pro

Explore the basics of analysis of structural models with the help of STAAD.Pro. Learn modeling tools, analysis methods and solution techniques for simple structural frames.

WEEK 12-13

BIM Coordination and Mutlidisciplinary Workflow

Gain an in-depth understanding of collaboration in the BIM environment. Learn to utilize BIM360, a cloud-based construction management platform that provides project teams with easy access to project data, 3D models, and documents, facilitating collaboration and streamlining workflows.

WEEK 14-15

BIM Coordination and Mutlidisciplinary Workflow

Learn how to identify and resolve clashes using Navisworks in your construction project, perform clash detection and resolution, and communicate your findings with the project stakeholders. Get introduced to BIMTrack, a cloud-based collaboration platform that allows you to easily manage BIM issues and improve project coordination.

WEEK 15-17

4D and 5D BIM

Learn how to link schedules and cost data with 3D models to create and simulate an accurate virtual construction model and visualize the construction sequence in a time-based simulation. Create and manage construction timelines, track project progress, and simulate real-time construction scenarios.

WEEK 17-18

Infraworks

Get up to speed with the essential features and interface of InfraWorks, the design and engineering program that provides 3D real-world context for infrastructure and urban planning projects. Learn the analysis & interoperability of infrastructure models such as highways, roads, bridges etc. between Infraworks and Civil 3D/AutoCAD.

WEEK 17-18

Dynamo

Get a good understanding of how to leverage the power of Dynamo and Revit to model, analyze, and automate complex geometries, reducing the potential for human error. Learn how to automate workflows within Revit, connect external data source to models, develop complex geometries at ease and improve your overall proficiency in visual programming.

Learn Primavera to effectively plan, manage and execute BIM projects. Acquire skills to integrate BIM data into your project schedule and gain a solid understanding of how to optimize project delivery through effective scheduling and resource allocation.

WEEK 17-18

ETABS

Learn how to model and analyze complex structural systems, perform seismic analysis, and design concrete and steel structures using ETABS, one of the most widely-used software in structural engineering. With the ability to generate accurate reports and detailed drawings, get well-equipped to optimize your workflow and enhance your productivity as a professional engineer.

WEEK 17-18

Career Paths in BIM and RIBA - Plan of work

Gain a comprehensive understanding of BIM-enabled project lifecycles and industry workflows as per RIBA standards, as well as the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage BIM projects. Explore career paths within the industry and have the confidence to pursue opportunities as a qualified BIM Engineer.

Week 14-16

Capstone Project

The course culminates in a live capstone project, through which engineers gain hands-on experience in designing and creating detailed and accurate BIM models of a major infrastructure project.

This is an immersive, gamified experience where learners perform tasks, collaborate with teams, receive client feedback, and are guided by project managers at each stage.
