"Be the guide you never had."
We at Novatr play an essential role as a guide to our learners. We're excited to share our journey with Career Navigator on this platform.
When we were building Career Navigator, we started with two problem statements: learners being confused about what to do next in their careers and lack of awareness in industry.
So, Novatr took the first step to guide them through it with Career Navigator. We want them to find and build the career they are made for. We solved, unsolved and then solved and eventually built it.
Give it a try here - https://www.novatr.com/career-navigator
So far, 150+ users have tried the platform, and the average rating we've received is 4.64/5.
A big shoutout to Imran, Manik, Pravar, Advitiya, our tech team (Nikhil, Rishi, Abith, Mayank, Shajad, Sirshti), the marketing team (Ruchi, Ajay, Kavya, Harshita), the design team (Pranay, Siddharth), and everyone else who pitched in with their ideas to make this happen.
HK, Vipanchi, Mehul, and Chaitanya- Thanks for sharing your vision, insights, and all the contributions to our success.
We’re not stopping here; we’re adding more features and pathways to make it even better and stay true to our learners that Novatr shall guide them, always.
Stay tuned!
Our learners had a hard time finding their way through our courses. They felt frustrated because of the complicated pathways, curriculum navigation and the lack of visibility on their progress and performance. They didn’t know how well they were doing or what to do next. Meanwhile, our mentors had to do a lot of manual work- they couldn’t see their learners’ progress clearly and didn't have a dedicated space to guide them.
We decided to make a big change. We embarked on a mission to stitch the entire journey from activation to referral into a single, user-centric platform. Our focus was clear – creating a seamless navigation experience that would be love-at-first-click. We walked in our users' shoes, ensuring that every feature met their needs and desires.
We followed a clear plan to achieve our goal. We identified and prioritised the main issues, worked together across teams, and tested and improved our features.
Today, we are proud to present our new and improved LMS and IGMS. It helps our learners navigate through our courses with ease. They can see their progress, get feedback, and take action. Our mentors can also see their learners’ progress and provide them with personalised guidance. Our task evaluation and feedback process is unbiased and comprehensive, reducing operational dependencies and escalations.
We'd like to thank the teams and individuals who contributed tirelessly to these achievements.

We are thrilled to announce that our ‘Novatr Circle of Excellence’ programme went LIVE on 8 September, with 301 BIM learners receiving the referral email. We're excited to share the journey thus far with everyone.
Our existing referral system relied extensively on offline and manual intervention, proving inefficient and non-scalable. Based on the inputs from the teams, we worked together to create a new and robust referral solution. One that can handle more leads, make it easier for our learners to share Novatr with other potential learners and ultimately help Novatr grow. It was not an easy task, but we did it and launched it on 8 September.
We want to thank everyone who contributed to this program. A big shoutout to Chaithanya, Imran, Utkarsh, and Manik, our Tech team (Rishi, Abith, Jatin), the Marketing team (Ruchi, Ajay, Kavya), the Sales team (Rajat, Dilraj), Kenz, Prakhar and everyone at Novatr. You guys made this happen!
Thanks for sharing your vision, insights, and all the contributions to our success. We are not done yet. We want to make this program even better and reach more learners. So please share your thoughts and suggestions with us and spread the word about the Novatr Circle of Excellence.
Stay tuned for more!

We have consistently encountered a significant challenge: occasional over-commitment by our Sales team in their pursuit of closing deals. This challenge has posed a serious risk of jeopardising our learners’ trust and damaging our brand image.
To tackle this issue head-on and in our continuous effort to ensure enhanced sales compliance, we decided to explore innovative solutions focusing on harnessing the power of technology. Our ultimate goal was not merely to address compliance issues but also to elevate the overall script adherence on the sales floor, improve call quality, and ensure a positive customer experience.
We are thrilled to announce our recent partnership with SpotLYT, which uses AI to audit calls and gives us actionable insights on all our customer interactions. It works by seamlessly integrating with our dialer system, allowing us to monitor calls meticulously, highlight compliance concerns so we can make timely course corrections to prevent possible escalations and back our training interventions with data.
This initiative is a testament to our commitment to embracing technology-driven solutions, ultimately fostering a sales environment that is not only more compliant but also genuinely customer-centric. We believe this forward-thinking approach will improve our customer interactions and solidify our brand's reputation in the market.
With immense pride and gratitude, we introduce the unstoppable force behind our success at Placements and Partnerships at Novatr! As we navigate the AEC industry's dynamic world, the team's unwavering dedication propels Novatr to new heights. In July, we celebrated an extraordinary achievement – our 100th successful placement. This milestone is a testament to the team's expertise and the positive impact they create for aspiring AEC professionals.
But it doesn't stop there.
We've transformed the placement experience by reducing the Turnaround Time (TAT) for feedback on profiles from our partner companies, ensuring a smoother journey for all. Our ingenious "Placement Drive" initiative has revolutionised our approach. The overwhelming success in high company adoption and enthusiastic participation exemplifies our innovative spirit.
Going global, we've achieved two international placements for candidates who upskilled through Novatr, reinforcing our worldwide influence. In our mission to empower the AEC community, we've onboarded 120+ companies, solidifying our position as a trusted partner in this dynamic industry.
While celebrating our achievements, we've also identified areas for growth. Timely feedback from hiring partners was a challenge we addressed head-on. The Placement Drive initiative has already started yielding positive results. As in the fast-paced world of Building Information Modeling (BIM), the industry is rapidly advancing our key learning, underscoring the importance of building strong relationships as we continue to lead AEC education.
Team Placements and Partnerships' dedication, passion, and teamwork are the lifeblood of these accomplishments. Together, we aim to shape the future of AEC education, fostering possibilities and nurturing talent. The journey ahead is filled with boundless opportunities, and we're excited to embrace them together.
As we bask in the glow of our achievements, let's keep the fire of innovation burning bright. The future of Placements and Partnerships at Novatr is a story yet to be written, and with the team's brilliance, it promises to be nothing short of extraordinary!
In January 2021, as a team of 6 at Oneistox, we thought of starting Cohort-based Courses (CBC). Rhino & Grasshopper 101, the Parametric Modelling Course was the first CBC of Oneistox that went live in March 2021, taught by our mentor, Kanwaljeet Singh.
With the growing demand for AEC professionals constantly looking for opportunities to work within the BIM landscape, we started our market research. We did a strategic analysis to introduce a flagship BIM Professional Course. The course went live in September 2021 with 28 learners. Very soon, Oneistox started to create waves as an emerging Ed Tech targeting to transform the careers of AEC Professionals.
It was also time for Oneistox to be ahead in the evolving Ed-Tech space in India, which means launching multiple courses that the AEC professionals are constantly looking at and to be remembered as a ‘rising star’. Hence, we paused for a moment to consider the feedback received from our learners, mentors, and the growing internal team.
A key decision was made to transform the existing Parametric Modelling Course into another flagship course, the Master Computational Design Course (MCDC). Aman Jain, an architect with significant experience in computational design, was welcomed to join our team as the Course Director for MCDC, which went live in February 2023, with 35 learners.
As things were in full swing, we officially rebranded ourselves as NOVATR in May 2023, and a deliberate intervention was made to reformulate the BIM Professional Course for its next phase. So, we onboarded Shashank Jain as the Course Director for the BIM Professional Course. Shashank is also an architect with diverse experience in the BIM landscape. Soon after, we successfully launched the BIM Professional Course For Civil Engineers in July 2023 with 100 learners.
We plan to release the BIM Professional Course for Architects 2.0 by the end of October 2023. Also, we are strategising to announce our third flagship course by next quarter. Given the constant motivation to make an impact that is ‘bigger and better’, we also look forward to growing our course development team to make it happen.
In the last few months, the Design team has really started to come into its own. This is a set of fresh-faced professionals expanding their creative horizons and embedding their presence and work firmly into the design DNA of Novatr. One challenge of having a group of early-stage employees is to create industry awareness of the niche market Novatr nestles in. In the group, oftentimes, there was a noticeable disconnect in their understanding of the AEC and ed-tech industries. Kenz, Vignesh and I took it upon ourselves to bridge that gap.
An off-site, a first for the team, was organised on the morning of 2 September. Our location was the WeWork building in Malviya Nagar, a much-upgraded version of our Platina Tower. It was a day of knowledge sharing with a heady mix of banter and interactivity. Sleek visual presentations ignited a previously unseen curiosity in everyone present about team culture. It really highlighted Novatr’s ambitious vision and an understanding of how design plays a starring role in ushering that roadmap into reality.
There was a palpable giddiness across the team once the sessions ended, mixed with plenty of ravenous stomachs. The group headed out for lunch at The Big Chill, an old, reliable joint; the quintessential South Delhi experience. Here, we were joined by Novatr Co-founders Harkunwar and Vipanchi, who were as excited, if not more, about the initiative. Table talk commenced, spurred on by a confident team stepping out of its shell, and a final photo-op capped off what was an encouraging and much-needed outing.
So, the other day, while crossing over to the ‘other side’ of the office, I bumped into Devika, and an interesting conversation followed, which I’d love to share with all of you.
So Devika started by asking this question: ‘Akash, what does the social media team actually do? What’s your work like?’
I paused, thought about it for a moment and said, ‘We try to remain relevant’. So, think of us as people who have to make sure that everyone is happy, like literally. Our existing users, potential customers, IGs, mentors, hiring partners, Novatr Supernovas, and, of course, everyone in general. Think about it na, the slightest of mistakes on social media creates a huge ruckus, but but but, that doesn’t stop us from being truthful to what we truly believe in.
‘That sounds like a lot of pressure, probably you all should get a raise’, said Devika, or maybe I wish she said the latter:) ‘But with all this happening, how do you get it right? How do you manage the content, posting, scheduling and everything else?’ Devika asked further.
‘Well, I’ll be completely honest’, I said. ‘There is no method. Yup, that’s true. We just trust a few things - we trust our research, our ability to comprehend data well, our understanding of human behaviour and emotions and most of all, our ‘methodless’ method. And most importantly, we always have fun doing it.
You see us in the office, right? We are the ones who roam around, madly looking for people who’d say yes to us - yes to feature in our videos. Who always carry a pen, diary, tripod, and camera and have our phones out because who knows when we’ll capture that ‘viral’ moment. Basically, for any outsider, the earlier statement would completely make sense - we are the ones who are paid to have fun (and ensure channel performance, make different content each day, experiment with different formats, ensure organic leads and oh, we need to deliver at least 5 viral posts a month). But, our job is easy, don’t worry:).’
So, to sum up this rather fascinating conversation, just remember one thing: If someone in marketing ever tells you that they are confident that this campaign, post, or story will work 100%, trust me, they are lying. Because you can be 99.99999% sure, but that 0.00001% is what makes or breaks things (But don’t worry, we still come into work every day with a smile and wanting to spread more).
Probably a small request, if I can. The next time you see us, spot us, please say Hi, or say yes to us (we’d love that), and most importantly, please like, share, comment, follow, and subscribe - you all know the drill - please do it for once. Hope this reaches you all the way it is intended to - with all love (we are a cute team).
Take care,
Aastha, Seikhohao, Kavya, Chetna, Sagar, Aman, Shivam, Dhruva, Sid, Kenz, Vignesh, Pranay, Neha, Muskan, Hanita, Hansha, Ruchii, Akash
Ops, Ops, and More Ops! Our team is like a box of chocolates, each vertical being a different, delicious flavour. It's like a grand carnival of talents waiting to be celebrated! Let's start with our family's youngest and coolest kid, Placement Operations!
In a world of constant change and innovation, staying ahead of the curve is crucial, especially for aspiring professionals. It's a challenging journey, but thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Placement Ops Team (or as we call it POPS), including Divyansh, Rigved, and Anurag with Anam, a remarkable transformation is taking place within our learning community.
The issue at hand was a pressing one: many of our learners faced difficulties showcasing their newly acquired skills when it came to job interviews. Recognising this obstacle, the team decided to take action.
What did the Team do? A few career workshops were conducted that would equip learners with the essential tools and knowledge to shine during interviews. The workshop covered a wide array of topics, from mastering Group Discussion Rounds to crafting the perfect introduction and conducting research about company and job openings in a short period. Learners were also schooled in the art of negotiation, justifying their skills, effectively countering questions, presenting themselves confidently, and curating a winning portfolio.
The results were nothing short of astounding. Even before Graduation Day arrived, 7 of our learners from Cohort 7 had secured promising job offers, thanks to the valuable insights and skills gained from the workshop.
But the Placement Ops Team isn't stopping there. They are joining forces with Nishant from the Community Team to create a dedicated workspace for graduates across cohorts. This workspace will serve as a knowledge hub, keeping our alumni updated with the latest industry trends, valuable tips, and resources essential for staying ahead in their careers.
In the ever-changing job market, our team has transformed our learners into interview-ready champions, proving that with passion and dedication, they can conquer any challenge with passion and dedication.
As we look ahead, we're thrilled about the endless possibilities awaiting our learners, all thanks to our team of dedicated rockstars.
The ride to success has just shifted into high gear!
Novatr’s Sales Ops team was facing a restricted Payment Management System that was developed a year back. The increasing customer base and payment collection scenarios made the process cumbersome.
The initial debate was "HOW" to build a new, robust, dynamic system that can handle different scenarios with multiple payment sources. The team revealed significant pain points to be: payment processing delays, no way of creating a team-driven payment plan, lack of data sync with Hubspot and user interface issues.
To improve the current payments, the tech and product teams conducted an analysis to understand the existing payment methods and flows. They then created a dynamic flow that caters to all scenarios and methods present in the system.
After thorough deliberation, the team took several actions to address their payment management system challenges:
1. Streamlined Development:As the system was designed from scratch, this approach allowed us to cater for each and every scenario effectively.
2. Enhanced User Interface:The team designed the complete user interface, making it more intuitive, dynamic and user-friendly.
3. Payment Gateway Integration:We integrated different payment gateways for Indian and foreign customers, ensuring customers had flexibility.
The efforts of the PMS bore fruit, and we achieved several successes:
1. Reduced Churn Rate:The streamlined system and improved user interface led to a significant reduction in sales operation's team churn.
2. Positive Team Feedback:The feedback from the team turned from complaints to compliments, with users praising the system's flexibility and ease of use.
The journey of development was not just about overcoming a challenge; it was a learning experience for the entire team. Some key takeaways emerged from this journey:
1. Listening to Team Problems:We learned the importance of actively seeking and listening to users' feedback. This insight was invaluable in making user-centric improvements.
2. Adaptability:The ability to adapt to a team's needs and integrate with other systems with flexibility (in this case, payment gateways) is crucial for the success of a payment management system.
"Rome wasn’t built in a day."
You may wonder why this title. Well, there's no other phrase that captures the epic adventure we embarked on a month and a half ago.
What started as a one-day pilot project went through multiple iterations to achieve its current form. The goal – expand our playground and directly meet our premium audience to give them a taste of how learning with Novatr looks, thereby increasing brand trust and credibility. Currently, we onboard 200-300 learners each month. With Unplugged, our long-term aim is to scale it to thousands per month by directly penetrating the market.
Challenges were rife from the very start. Two were most prominent - first, we had to ensure that Novatr wasn't solely associated with "Oneistox Workshops" or misconstrued as an offline event. And second, how do we create a premium and scalable IP? This is where creativity truly shone. "Unplugged" was born, and under Pranay Dilawari's lead, the design team breathed life into its visual identity. If you haven’t seen the event collaterals they’ve conjured up, YOU SHOULD!! (Chef’s kiss 🤌)
Presenting our latest affair:
Our Gurugram event on September 3 was a crucial testing ground. Two of our in-house gurus (IGs) joined us as experts to steer the ship. After the event, we gained profound insights into our audience's expectations.
Armed with these lessons, we're all set to create an unforgettable experience in Bangalore on September 24!
Remember, it took an army to build Rome, and so did NOVATR Unplugged!
As we wrap up, here’s a big shout-out to the team that made it possible: Chaithanya, Ajay, Shanaz, Akash, Anmol, Suraj, Pranay, Kenz and their army of designers, and Himanshu. Special mention to HK, Vipanchi and Ruchi for their guidance and support.
Here's to building NOVATR Unplugged into something extraordinary!
We rolled out the very first employee survey in June 2023. The survey aimed to gather feedback on various aspects of our organisation, including employee satisfaction, work culture, professional development, and communication.
Here are some of the major insights and themes:
of employees align with Novatr’s goals and embrace new challenges.
of employees are aligned with the values of the organisation.
of employees see Novatr as a place to learn and grow.
of employees have said their feedback is heard and acted upon.
of employees are aware of the progress at the organisation level.
We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our amazing Supernovas who have made a difference at Novatr in the past month. You have shown remarkable dedication and commitment to building Novatr with your innovative ideas and solutions. Thank you!
